⚽ Local Tips for World Cup 2026

  • Go for the beer list, stay for the food — don't treat it as drinks-only or you'll miss the point.
  • Reserve only for dinner service; for lunch before a noon kick-off, walk in at 11 AM sharp.
  • Gastown to BC Place is 12–15 minutes on foot via Water Street — scenic but add time if photo stops.
  • Ask what's new on tap — rotation is the reason locals come here, not the TVs.
  • Smaller screens than dedicated sports bars — best when your match isn't the only game on.

About Alibi Room

The Alibi Room is where Vancouver's craft beer culture grew up. It's not a megascreen sports temple — it's a place you go when you care about what's in the glass and still want to catch the match at the bar.

For World Cup fans who've had enough stadium food and generic lagers, this is the palate reset. I bring people here the day before a match when we have time to sit, talk tactics, and actually taste something.
