Vancouver's BC Place hosts 5 group stage matches (June 13, 18, 21, 24, 26), a Round of 32 on July 2 and a Round of 16 knockout match on July 7. After July 7, remaining matches move to other cities for quarterfinals, semis, and the final in New York/New Jersey on July 19.
Is the FIFA Fan Festival really free?
Yes — 100% free entry. The FIFA Fan Festival at Hastings Park (PNE, 2901 E Hastings St) is open during the tournament — confirm official hours at FIFA.com / City of Vancouver. You can watch all matches on giant outdoor screens at no cost. Food and drinks inside are priced separately but reasonable (~$7–15 per item, est.).
What's the best way to get to BC Place from downtown?
SkyTrain is by far the best option. Take the Canada Line to Main Street–Science World station — it's a 5–7 minute walk to BC Place. A single trip costs $2.70 with Compass Card (or $3.35 cash), or get a Day Pass for $11.95 (until Jun 30) / $12.55 (Jul 1+) for unlimited travel all day. Source: translink.ca.
