What is the FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver?
The FIFA Fan Festival is the official public celebration zone for the 2026 World Cup. It's completely free to enter and runs from the day the tournament starts (June 11) until the very last day of the World Cup (July 19) — even after Vancouver's last match on July 7, the festival continues showing all remaining games.
Located at Hastings Park (PNE Grounds) in East Vancouver, the festival transforms one of the city's most beloved park and fairgrounds into a 39-day football celebration. Think Glastonbury meets the World Cup. Giant LED screens, live international music acts, food from 30+ vendors, beer gardens, interactive sponsor zones, FIFA merchandise and tens of thousands of fans from every nation on earth.

The festival is divided into several zones:
📺 Main Viewing Arena
The central area with the primary LED mega-screen (approx. 300m²) showing all matches. Standing and seated sections. The main screen area fills first on Canada match days — arrive 2+ hours early for a good spot.
🍺 Beer Gardens & Sponsor Lounge
Licensed area with official World Cup beer (Budweiser), other drinks and standing tables with screen views. Must be 19+ (BC drinking age). ID required at entry to this zone.
🍔 International Food Village
30+ food vendors representing cuisines from World Cup nations — Mexican street food, Moroccan tagines, Brazilian churrasco, Korean BBQ, poutine, fish and chips, halal options, vegan street food and much more. Prices range ~$8–22 per item (est.).
🎵 Live Entertainment Stage
Daily live music, DJs and cultural performances between matches. International headliners on big match days. Schedule posted at the entrance daily.
⚽ FIFA Interactive Zone
Sponsor-run interactive activities: penalty shootout simulator, juggling challenges, FIFA video game stations (EA Sports), merchandise stores, photo opportunities and World Cup history exhibits.
👨👩👧 Family Zone
Dedicated family-friendly area with face painting, kids' activities and a smaller screen for families who prefer a quieter environment. Stroller accessible.
🏥 First Aid & Info
Medical station near the main entrance. Information booths staffed with multilingual volunteers. Lost and found, phone charging stations and accessibility services available here.

Typical Match Day at Fan Festival — Hour by Hour
Gates Open
Festival opens. Quietest time of day — best to arrive now if you want premium screen position for afternoon/evening matches.
Food Vendors Open
All food stalls operational. Good time to grab lunch before the lunchtime match (if any). Zero queues at this time.
Morning Match Screening
First match of the day if scheduled. Moderate crowd — casual fans and families. Great atmosphere without the chaos.
Live Entertainment
Between matches, the entertainment stage hosts local and international acts. Crowds build throughout the afternoon.
Afternoon Peak
Crowd at 60–70% capacity. Evening match kicks off — atmosphere starts building. Beer gardens get busy. Best sunlight for the outdoor areas.
Main Match Kickoff
On big days (Canada matches, knockout stage) the venue is at capacity. Chanting, flags, absolute electric atmosphere. The reason you came.
Halftime Show
Live music on the entertainment stage. Food queues clear. Good time to grab food and drinks before the second half.
Full-Time + Celebrations
If Canada wins — this is what you came for. Fireworks, confetti, thousands of fans celebrating. The Drive parties continue outside.
Festival Closes
Gates close. Takes 30–45 minutes for crowds to clear. SkyTrain/buses run extended hours. Nightlife continues at Commercial Drive and Gastown.

💡 Save Money on Food
The biggest lines (and prices) are right before kickoff. Eat 45–60 minutes before the match to avoid queues and get the best choice. Eat a snack before you arrive from outside — no rules on what you eat before entering. The free water stations mean you don't need to buy water inside.
