Best Gastown pick when your team's fans travel in numbers.
Blarney Stone is Gastown's Irish anchor — dark wood, pints, and a crowd that treats football like football, not 'soccer on in the corner.' When Ireland or a European side is playing, the room changes completely.
It's louder than the Alibi and less polished than Yaletown. That's the appeal. I've seen strangers hug here after a last-minute winner. For World Cup atmosphere without entering BC Place yet, this is a strong bet.

"We worked as an outside photo booth vendor for a corporate event at Blarney Stone Pub. The staff was welcoming, professional, and easy to work with, and the event ran smoothly from setup to breakdown."
"This was my first visit back to the Blarney Stone in 15 years and it's better than I remembered! Cover was $15. We went at 10pm and waited about 20 minutes in line. Not too bad ... There was definite"
"Always great to see an old friend! Will at the bar was amazing, the food incredible! Great to see the place just as perfect as it was 8 years ago. Blarney is always a class act!"

For busy weekend dinners and event nights, often yes. Walk-in works better off-peak — call or check their listing.
Depends on screens and crowd — ask staff, or use our pubs hub rankings for sports-forward rooms.
Use SkyTrain/bus corridors when possible. See Getting Around for DayPass tips.
