⚽ Local Tips for World Cup 2026

  • Reserve dinner tables; bar seats are walk-in if you arrive when doors open.
  • Classic cocktails + gastropub food — dress slightly nicer than a sports bar.
  • Gastown location means 12–14 min walk to BC Place — leave when halftime starts if you're dining.
  • Burger is the reliable pick; don't overthink the menu on match day.
  • Not a primary watch spot for the match itself — better for pre-game meal.

About Pourhouse Restaurant

Pourhouse is where you eat before you drink elsewhere. The room is beautiful — dim, historic, serious about cocktails — and the food is genuinely good, not pub afterthought.

I wouldn't bring a rowdy ten-person fan group here. I would bring two friends who want a proper meal and a Negroni before walking to BC Place for an 8 PM kick-off. Different job, done well.
