Mount Pleasant (Main St corridor from Broadway to 16th Ave) is the neighbourhood tourists skip for Gastown โ their loss. Vancouver Mural Festival โ August
Since 2016, VMF has commissioned 250+ murals across the city โ the densest concentration lives here. Each August, new walls go up live; block parties, DJs and beer gardens follow. Free to walk; map on vanmuralfest.ca and the Mural Finder app.
- Self-guided walk: start Main & 2nd Ave, head south to 16th โ 2 h with coffee stops.
- Best photos: morning side light; respect residents โ alleys are people's backyards.
