Vancouver Pub Crawl: Yeast Van Breweries (2026)

BC changed liquor laws in 2013 — suddenly breweries could sell pints on-site. Vancouver now has 100+ craft breweries, and the densest cluster sits in Yeast Van (Mount Pleasant / Main Street). This is a sensible walking crawl with real addresses, typical beer-flight prices and the rules locals learn after one messy night.

Golden rules — read before you sip

• Eat before you crawl. Poutine at midnight is a cliché for a reason — start with dinner on Main St (see Mount Pleasant guide).
• Pace: 4 oz flights, not pints, at each stop — 5 stops × 16 oz = a full night already.
• Transit home: Canada Line at Broadway–City Hall or Main St–Science World — do not drive between tasting rooms.
• Last pour typically 22:00–23:00; kitchens close earlier.

Stop 1 — Storm Brewing (East Van anchor)

Storm Brewing, 939 E Kent Ave S (East Vancouver industrial zone — not Victoria Dr). Legendary nano-brewery since 1995 — eclectic taps including high-ABV experiments, cash-friendly vibe, warehouse feel. Flights ~C$8–12. Taxi/rideshare from Main St if you skip the 15-min walk from Main–Science World.

Stop 2 — Superflux Beer Company

Superflux, 1340 Adanac St — hazy IPAs and a polished tasting room between Storm and Main St cluster. Good bridge stop with food trucks on weekends.

Stop 3 — Main Street Brewing

Main Street Brewing, 261 E 7th Ave. Larger tasting room, reliable IPAs and lagers, food trucks outside on weekends. Good mid-crawl reset with water and pretzels.

Stop 4 — Brassneck Brewery

Brassneck Brewery, 2148 Main St. Tiny room, chalkboard tap list changes weekly — one of the city's most respected micros. Expect a line on Friday 18:00–20:00.

Stop 5 — 33 Acres

33 Acres Brewing, 15 W 8th Ave. Bright Scandinavian-style room, session ales designed for multiple rounds — their 33 Acres of Sunshine is the crowd-pleaser.

Stop 6 — Parallel 49 / Faculty (optional)

Parallel 49 and Faculty Brewing on E 4th extend the crawl west — larger patios, pizza partners. End at Faculty if you want a quieter finish.

Poutine & late food — the responsible finish

• La Belle Patate (various) — classic Quebec poutine after beer.
• Mean Buns or Dos Tacos on Main — salt absorption with personality.
• Don't stumble into Granville Strip clubs — overpriced doubles and regret; stick to Yeast Van.
