Sources & verification
How FanVancouver checks facts — and which official sources we prefer when prices, hours, transit or tickets change.
Primary official sources
- Transit: TransLink (SkyTrain, buses, SeaBus, alerts)
- Airport: YVR
- Stadium / major events: venue and promoter pages for BC Place and city-run festivals (hours, bag rules, entry)
- Tickets: official primary sellers (e.g. Ticketmaster where applicable) — we do not sell tickets
- Weather / air quality: Environment Canada and local advisories when conditions change plans
- Cruise / port: Port of Vancouver and individual cruise lines for embarkation rules
What we publish vs what you must re-check
- We publish planning context (routes, neighbourhoods, typical ranges, scam patterns).
- You should re-check live prices, inventory, last trains, bag policies, and ticket authenticity on the official page linked from each guide.
- World Cup 2026 pages are an archive + visitor logistics layer after BC Place’s tournament window — still useful for summer travel, not a live ticket booth.
Corrections
Found a stale hour, broken link, or wrong gate note? Email via contact with the URL and the official source. We prioritise high-traffic pages (map, food, BC Place, tickets, transit).
