How often is this snow report updated?
It refreshes several times a day from live Open-Meteo data at each mountain's summit elevation — base depth, incoming snowfall and temperature.
When do Vancouver's ski mountains open?
For 2026-27 Whistler Blackcomb targets 20 November and Mt Seymour 11 December. Cypress and Grouse have not announced dates: Cypress is projected for late November and Grouse for mid-December (it opened on 19 December last season). Every date depends on snow.
Can I ski near Vancouver without a car?
Yes — Grouse, Cypress and Seymour all run winter shuttles from downtown or a SkyTrain station, and buses reach the North Shore. See our getting-around guide.
