Science World and the False Creek skyline — Vancouver's most-used establishing shot

Deadpool Vancouver Filming Locations (With Addresses)

Georgia Viaduct, Riverview and Hatley Castle — the three Deadpool spots you can stand on, with SkyTrain, access and a day plan from downtown.

Hollywood North · Deadpool

The freeway ambush is a real Vancouver overpass. The X-Mansion is a real castle across the water. The laboratory is a real former hospital in Coquitlam. The spaghetti of named interchanges — Ditko Avenue, Wernick Parkway — is CGI. If you only have one afternoon, do the viaduct and the downtown walk; Hatley is a full day with a ferry.

Guided downtown loops pass the Georgia Viaduct end and the blocks Deadpool used as a city that is not New York.

Where to stay in Vancouver

In Vancouver the price depends on the neighbourhood far more than on the star rating. Compare live hotel and rental rates side by side before you lock your dates.

Walking order

  1. Stadium–Chinatown Station. Walk east onto the Georgia Viaduct sidewalk and shoot toward Main Street — that is the opening-chase deck.
  2. Four minutes west: Science World seawall for the skyline every establishing shot uses, then the Marine Building lobby on Burrard (free, business hours).
  3. Coquitlam: səmiq̓ʷəʔelə / Riverview grounds only. Centre Lawn is the Deadpool 2 battlefield. Buildings are closed. No drones.
  4. Optional day two: Tsawwassen ferry to Hatley Castle, garden side, the X-Mansion lawn. Interior is a timed tour.

Ryan Reynolds grew up in Kitsilano and shot here in costume in 2017. We do not publish restaurants he 'hangs out in'. What is public: Kitsilano Secondary (exterior from the sidewalk), Nat Bailey Stadium on a Canadians game day, and the viaduct he thanked the city for closing.
