Fraser Valley U-Pick & Steveston Fish (September 2026)

Mid-September 2026: Krause blueberry U-pick is closed for the season. Remaining U-pick at Krause is scatter-pick strawberries and blackberries. The farm market, waffle bar and winery are still open Wednesday–Sunday. For fish off the boat, use the Steveston guide — salmon is seasonal and the posted boat price that morning is the price.

What is actually open today

Krause’s farm, waffle bar and winery: Wednesday–Sunday. Blueberry shuttle: off for the season. Steveston boats: when they have fish. If a Cloud Run demo listed Birak at $2.20/lb or “$15–$25 a whole salmon,” that number is not on this page.

Steveston Fisherman's Wharf

Pacific salmon at a British Columbia dock

Boats still sell off the dock when they have fish. Sockeye is a summer fishery — by mid-September you take whatever is on the chalkboard that morning, not a guidebook number. Do not trust a pasted '$15–$25 a whole fish' figure. Our Steveston guide treats boat prices as variable. Walk the pier, read the sign, bring cash.

Typical harvest, not a promise

MonthWhat usually happens
JuneStrawberries open; first U-pick crowds.
JulyPeak strawberries and raspberries; blueberries start.
AugustBlueberries and blackberries. Warm years finish early.
SeptemberLate blackberries and leftovers. In 2026 Krause blueberries are already closed.
OctoberMost berry U-pick is done. Pumpkin patches and farm markets take over — see our pumpkin patch guide.

Warm 2026 pulled Krause blueberries forward. Always open the farm’s own U-pick page the morning you go.

U-pick FAQ

Is blueberry U-pick still open in September 2026?

Not at Krause. Their blueberry fields are closed for the season after an early ripen. Remaining U-pick is scatter-pick strawberries and blackberries. Check their Instagram the morning you drive.

How much are Krause U-pick containers?

On 2026-09-13: $5 small (~1 lb), $9 medium (~2.5 lb), $21.50 large, $41 extra-large. Crop conditions can change the list. You must buy their container — no outside buckets.

Can I buy fish off the boat in Steveston this week?

Sometimes. Walk the pier and read the chalkboard. Sockeye is a summer fishery; mid-September is leftovers and whatever came in. We do not print a fake whole-fish price.

Prices on this page are estimates for planning and can change — check the operator, venue or booking site before you pay.

Fish off the boat is the other half of this errand: the Steveston guide has the wharf, the cannery and how to get there. Day-trip context: day trips from Vancouver.
